Geeni is a smart home company founded in 2017. A recent update to terms and conditions have bricked users ability to control lights anymore. Despite the bulb going into pairing mode, or being pair to app previously, you are no longer able to control your light bulbs until you agree to updated terms and conditions.

Cannot access control to bulbs or other devices paired to Geeni app or phone until new terms and conditions have been agreed to after the initial sale.

Incidents

As of June 2025, Bulbs cannot be controlled by app or other methods until user agrees to new terms and conditions. Users can only request a refund if the purchase was made within 30 days. Users who have owned the product longer are not eligible despite the device not functioning as intended.
