Brother refutes saying these are false claims

Brother claims this is false. I wonder whether they will fix firmware that confirms it's actually true? Hacker News discussion: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43271507

Whether they fix it or not this response warrants inclusion to the article in a "Brother's response" section. Kostas (talk) 08:00, 6 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

On purpose sabotage

Guys,

I've been invited by Brother in their HQs in France. Their engineers BOASTED in front of me they had decreased the minimal temperature needed for the ink to get liquid. As a result, third-party toners manufacturers' ink does not completely get liquid. This decreases the quality (you see stains) and finally breaks the printer fuser unit. This is very expensive.

I'll never ever purchase a Brother again. 2A01:CB04:695:C700:AD7B:244C:35F4:9193 13:13, 23 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
