Article tone/relevancy concerns

Currently this article reads a bit more like a review/personal blog post that one which is suitble for the wiki.

In relation to tone, the article doesn't really follow the tone guidelines as broadly laid out in the Mission statement and Editorial guidelines.

In terms of relevancy, the article also strays from legitimate consumer rights issues (difficulties with repairability, etc.) and into more general and subjective issues e.g. (I don't like it when phone companies remove headphone jacks). While bluetooth sound quality is objectively lower than wired, whether the trade-offs of headphone jack removal are worth it or not is subjective commentary on design choices which really goes beyond the scope of what wiki articles are meant to address.

The article could also do with being converted into the product/product line page template, to improve consistency with other articles.

Airpods need a firmware update from a nearby apple device

a friend of mine was trying to use their airpods with their pc, but they did not make any sound, it turns out the airpods need a firmware update but need to be near an apple device for 30 minutes to receive the update. Said friend does not have any apple devices capable of doing this 2601:191:380:1F50:49D5:8FE4:23A7:7D00 14:40, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
