Purpose of this page?

Is part of the purpose of this page to create a catalogue of dark patterns, or is that meant to be handled on separate pages by product/company? (For example, if a company does no anti-consumer practices except for dark patterns on their website, where does that go?) Combative hedgehog (talk) 04:23, 3 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

It is a theme article, intended to explain what is and its background, how the concept works, how it is relevant to consumer rights, give examples of how the concept is used in practice, as well as the legal framework surrounding the issue (both in the USA and abroad).
If a company's only problem is the practice of using dark patterns on its website, it can still be included as part of their article here on CRW. That is what I did in the instance of The Economist, though it seems I forgot to do the same for Carly. — Sojourna (talk) 23:39, 3 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
