Local network access[edit | edit source]

Some of EZVIZ security cameras do not provide an easy way to use them without using their cloud. For example, the HP2 peephole camera, when connected to a home Wi-Fi network, requires streaming the video through EZVIZ cloud.

Firmware update breaking RTSP[edit | edit source]

In 2023 users reported that a firmware update has disabled RTSP[1]. Users had to re-enable it in the mobile app in order to continue having local access to their cameras.
