EZVIZ, officially Hangzhou EZVIZ Network Co., Ltd., is a manufacturer of smart home appliances. It is a subsidiary of Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co., Ltd.

Local network access

Some of EZVIZ security cameras do not provide an easy way to use them without using their cloud. For example, the HP2 peephole camera, when connected to a home Wi-Fi network, requires streaming the video through EZVIZ cloud.

Firmware update breaking RTSP

In 2023 users reported that a firmware update has disabled RTSP. Users had to re-enable it in the mobile app in order to continue having local access to their cameras.
