Oneplus (Chinese: 一加) is a Chinese electronics manufacturer, spun off from Oppo in 2013 as a separate brand. OnePlus sells smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, earbuds, and other accessories around the world, whereas Oppo's presence outside of China is somewhat more limited. The company has generally been well regarded in terms of consumer protection and is fairly supportive of allowing bootloader unlocking and therefore, third-party modifications for their hardware.

Starting from ColorOS 16, OnePlus intends to make the process of unlocking bootloader more complicated by requiring developers and users to sign up for the "深度测试计划" (In-Depth Testing Program).[1] While as of now, it is only going to impact users in China[2], there is a chance that this change may come to the global version of OnePlus phones on OxygenOS.[3]
