Haier Group Corporation is a Chinese home appliances and consumer electronics company. Through its subsidiaries it manufactures a variety of products. It was founded on 28 April 1984.
Since 2016, Haier has owned GE Appliances.

Takedown request of an open source Home Assistant integration (2024)
[edit | edit source]On 15 January 2024, Haier sent a takedown request to the developer of the hOn Home Assistant integration. Which makes Haier, Candy and Hoover products controllable via Home Assistant.[1]
Following immense consumer and media pressure, Haier reversed their decision.[2]
