Subscription-based cloud-managed hardware. Company was previously friendly to open-source.[2]

Locked down hardware (SecureBoot) since ~2018.[3][4] Hardware before 2018, or with SecureBoot exploits may be reflashable to OpenWRT.[2][5]

Creates tons of e-waste (e.g, on eBay).

Some models may brick if tampered with.[6]
