All smartphones sold by TracFone don't just have digital locks preventing installation of third-party software and use on another carrier, they have a contract that makes it so you essentially don't own the device. Specifically, even though you have PAID FOR THE PHONE, you don't have the right to resell it, jailbreak it, or install any third-party firmware. Even though the law allows such actions, purchasing the phone waives your right to them
