VOIPO LLC is a US based telecommunications company founded in May 2006 which provides Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services.[1][2]

Customers Report Duplicate Billing

[edit | edit source]

As early as October of 2024 many customers who were enrolled in biennial autopay reported having been billed multiple times over a short period of time. Customers were typically paying approximately $185 every 2 years and many said that they were being unexpectedly charged for billing cycles many years in advance. VOIPO has reached out to some customers who brought up the issue on Trustpilot stating they would reach out to them.[3]

Consumer response

[edit | edit source]

Several affected customers have called the charges fraudulent in reviews and on Reddit with many frustrated customers stating they were overbilled in excess of $1000 over a short period.

Many claimed that upon contacting customer support they were told it could take up to 30 days to issue a refund, other customers stated in reviews that they were told refunds would be processed however never received any a refund from VOIPO.

A common theme among complaints among customers experiencing the billing issues include: not noticing the charges initially as they had autopay enabled, customer service opening refund tickets that were never fulfilled, and having to contact their credit card provider to dispute charges. Some reviews from customers have noted that after spending significant time in contact with VOIPO customer service they were told by their card providers they could not complete a chargeback as too much time had passed.[3][4]

As of May 2025 customers are still reporting this issue.[3]
