Logos

Hello! Just a heads up for future logos you upload, please add the "Logo" category to the summary to better categorize them. ([[Category:Logo]]) Mr Pollo (talk) 00:26, 21 February 2025 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for the heads up! I tried modyfing the summary of an image by adding [[Category:Logo]] but it didn't work. I was able to do it by editing the image page and adding the category to the gui. How can I do it directly when I upload it? ema (talk) 09:44, 21 February 2025 (UTC)

That way can also work, though for me it works both ways.

When you go to Special:Upload, you previously added a summary such as "TD Ameritrade logo". On the next line in the summary box, you would add [[Category:Logo]] (make sure there aren't any "<nowiki>" tags) and when the image is uploaded, the category will be implemented and appear below the "File usage" section. Categorization

Nothing to worry. Also note that newly created company articles automatically have the company category, as they take the page name for the category title. Those new articles add `[[Category:{{PAGENAME}}]]` to the end of the new page via the template. That was not the case before the templates were added, so that is why categorization is mixed now, but it is getting consistent. InTransparencyWeTrust (talk) 19:58, 4 March 2025 (UTC)

There is now a start page for creating pages here, then you can click "create your page" and select company, enter the title and click the "Create page" button, which starts the company page with a template. You won't see the category in the visual editor at first, but it is added to the source, so once you save you will see it. InTransparencyWeTrust (talk) 20:12, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
