On September 27, 2024, Steam announced the removal of forced arbitration clauses from their Steam Subscriber Agreement. [1]

Steam's decision[edit | edit source]

Steam has eliminated the requirement that disputes be resolved by individual arbitration. The updated Steam Subscriber Agreement now allows disputes to go forward in court instead. Steam has also removed the class action waiver, as well as cost and fee-shifting provisions that were in prior versions of the agreement.
