Terms of service (Tos), also known as terms of use (ToU) and terms and conditions (T&C), are the legal agreements between service providers and their consumers. The person must agree to the ToS in order to use the offered service. The ToS can also be merely a disclaimer, especially regarding the use of websites. Vague language and lengthy sentences used in these ToS agreements have caused concerns about customer privacy and raised public awareness in many ways.
Companies frequently update their ToS to reflect changes in business models, regulatory requirements, user interactions or to mitigate legal risk. These modifications can range from minor clarifications to significant alterations that impact user rights, data privacy, and service accessibility.
