Best Buy has been suspected of enrolling customers into their subscription services without the customer's prior knowledge. Customers also report that the inventory of items on their website may be inaccurate.
On February 9th, 2025, a customer purchased an ROG Zephyrus G16 OLED laptop from Best Buy. A chat was initiated with an agent in order to purchase and ship the item. The promotional deal running on Best Buy's website advertised that the laptop was for sale at $2,200 before tax; however, the open box price was set at $2,075.
