IKEA Home Smart

IKEA offers a line of Smart Home Devices under the Brand "Home Smart".

In May 2022 IKEA released a new Smart home hub announcing that it offers Matter integration.^[1]^[2] But Matter was not yet implemented in the Hub. Instead it was delayed several times Missing advertised features. Finally in September 2024 2 years after the release it was implemented.^[3]^[4]

During that time it was not transparent to customers when/if Matter integration will be implemented. No apologies were made.

‎FYRTUR Roller Blinds Failures

A lot of users of FYRTUR roller blinds have Issues with them failing suddenly. ^[5]^[6]^[7]

IKEA has not acknowledged this issue openly.
