Category talk:Anti-consumer practices

From Consumer Rights Wiki

Latest comment: 23 October 2025 by AnotherConsumerRightsPerson in topic Category capitalization

Is this category for Incidents, or for terms?

When I encountered this category, it had a mix of articles about terms and articles about incidents.

To me the name suggested that it was intended to be about practices (i.e., more general than incidents). Therefore I moved it to be a subcategory of common terms, and moved the individual incidents to incident categories (as far as I understand the guide).

If it is supposed to be something else, may help to have clearer naming convention for categories. Drakeula (talk) 05:24, 22 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

I think it’s really a bit of both. It has sub-categories of these anti-consumer practices, then in those sub-categories are the actual incident itself?? These categories were probably all made in January/February and maybe some in early March, where they didn’t have much of an idea of what they wanted to do with this wiki and were worse at wiki editing anyway as they were so new. Category capitalization

I believe only the starting letter should be capitalized since it's describing something generic (e.g "Common terms" category page). My 2¢. — Sojourna (talk) 23:44, 12 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Agree but it’s hard to do as I need to move all pages in it too. AnotherConsumerRightsPerson (talk) 14:56, 23 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
