Ongoing event

Suggestion to add an "ongoing event" notice since this article reflects an announcement rather than an incident. Otherwise, the article is outside the scope of the wiki since no rights have been violated (yet) Beanie Bo (talk) 12:41, 28 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Did this before even seeing this, the ‘plans to’ immediately implies this is ongoing. AnotherConsumerRightsPerson (talk) 18:01, 13 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I think I said that but then changed the name afterwards. The previous name implied that it was already being implemented Beanie Bo (talk) 20:55, 13 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Name Change

I suggest renaming this article "Google Android restrict app installation" (or another title which does not use "sideloading") as "sideloading" is commonly associated with an installation of an app that is not sanctioned. This change is important because it is a consumer right to be able to use whatever software you wish, sanctioned or otherwise. Danii (talk) 21:40, 3 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
