Background

[edit | edit source]

These NOOK devices were announced in September 2012, and later released in November 2012, offering access to Barnes & Noble’s digital bookstore, magazines, and media content.

Incident

[edit | edit source]

In March of 2024, Barnes & Noble announced that they would be cutting off all support for their Nook HD and HD+ devices. This includes:

  • Purchasing content from the Barnes & Noble store
  • Registering a new Barnes & Noble account
  • Signing into existing Barnes & Noble accounts on these devices.[1]
