Hiding How Much Carcinogenic Food Coloring in Products
Thamar Santisteban Cortina sued Pepsico and Goya Foods in January 2014 over the product Pepsi, Pepsi One, and Diet Pepsi, containing excessive amount of 4-methylimidazole (which can cause severe health risks like cancer) without properly informing consumers. [1][2][3]
Pepsico in Collaboration with Walmart Rigged Prices

On ---, Federal Trade Commision filed a lawsuit against Pepsico and Walmart for allegedly doing a price fixing scheme that allowed Walmart to sell Pepsi products at lower prices than its competitors. [4][5]
Pepsico Exposes Lead to Customers without prior knowledge
On April 21, 2006, the People of the State of California filed a lawsuit against Pepsico over violating the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act. Mexico Pepsi and West Jefferson Mountain Dew failed to warn Californian consumers of their products containing lead and cadmium. [6]
Ran Campaigns Lying to Consumers about Environmental Benefits
The People of the State of California (through Los Angeles County) filed a lawsuit against Pepsico and Coca-Cola on 2024 over misleading consumers with a disinformation campaign designed to make consumers believe that their products are environmental friendly.[7][8]
Pepsi Runs Misleading Ad-Campaign to give away a Harrier 2 Jet
In March of 1996 pepsi began the "Pepsi Stuff" advertising campaign, which claimed that you could redeem "pepsi-points" for a variety of things including and up to a Harrier 2 jet. When John Leonard produced enough points to purchase the Jet, they balked, and Leonard decided to pursue a lengthy legal campaign against Pepsi for the false advertising.[1]
Multiple similar campaigns were performed outside of the United States, with similar results, as outlined in the "Pepsi, Where's My Jet?" Documentary on Netflix.
