Summary
Under the outer cover on a reader's Gotrax electric scooter: the metal axle bracket with the central wheel axle hardware (capped) flanked by two more recessed security Torx screws, top and bottom, with the brake rotor and caliper above. These are the screws the owner described as sitting underneath the covers, in a size different from the cover screws, requiring a second bit before the axle could come apart.
