Android Apps... And a MP3 Player App??[edit source]

Writing here because of the great random comment filter YouTube imposes on us all.

Anyway, is this app on iOS as well? If not does it at least have a server-side validated license akin to SD Maid or NetCut? Is this strictly cloud based? If not and judging by mod apks that give you premium I don't get why write cheeto in doorlock articles. I get it, this is a wiki over protecting consumers, but it's really easy even without root to get premium versions of apps that don't have much to do with the cloud. I doubt iOS allows for apps/tools like Lucky Patcher to exist thus I mentioned it as a more valid OS to target when writing about app developers acting scummy. I don't mean to point fingers at anyone and criticize their purchases, but you can easily crack most apps with LP even if you don't have root using a VM with a rooted version of Android then side loading the modified app which is what I would recommend to preserve the battery imo even if your phone has root. Or as mentioned above you can find premium pre-modified apks by doing Google searches. Of course LP isn't a silver bullet to app developer abuse, but for things like an mp3 player it should be the default option. And not to sound like a Linux user, but like. You have unlimited alternatives to this including VLC.

i don't think other apps should be part of this[edit source]

the other applications mentioned in the addition to this article are not applications where there is evidence that they turned a lifetime license into a subscription. having a subscription is annoying, but it is not, in and of itself, worthy of inclusion Louis (talk) 01:27, 31 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

I'll go ahead and remove those sections because I concurr if the moderation team changes its mind on the subject they can readd
I'll also remove the QR code section as I don't think it's a good idea to include allegations of credit card theft without extraordinary evidence, please readd it if you see fit HeavenPiercerYama (talk) 01:50, 31 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
If there is ANY evidence that they turned those apps from lifetime license to subscription, feel free to cite it, but until then they can go! Louis (talk) 01:13, 1 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
