Logitech G HUB is Logitech's configuration software for its Logitech G gaming peripherals. The software went into early access in July 2018.[1]
Consumer impact summary
[edit | edit source]User freedom
[edit | edit source]Logitech has increasingly required consumers to use G HUB, particularly for gaming peripherals. The software is necessary for performing even basic device configurations, such as adjusting or turning off LEDs on mice and keyboards.
Logitech G HUB does not officially support Linux, and as of 2025 there are no plans to add support.[2] Linux users recommend alternatives such as piper or Solaar;[3] however, these tools do not support all Logitech products.
User privacy
[edit | edit source]G HUB also collects user data.[4] The alternative Logitech provides, the Onboard Memory Manager, is less invasive but provides only minimal functionality compared to G HUB.
