Switch 2 is not the Switch[edit source]

the title needs to be changed or the entire article as the Switch 2 and the OG Switch are not at all the same. It's like creating a PS4 article and filling it up w PS5 incidents. SinexTitan (talk) 15:55, 10 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi Sinex, it was a consensus among both wiki staff and users that we would handle both consoles underneath the same product line page, as to prevent confusion for users accessing the wiki. It is planned to eventually handle articles such as Xbox and PlayStation under the product line type for the same reasons as well, since it would be rather pointless to have individual articles covering the Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS1/X, PS2, PS3, PS4, & PS5.
Here are other planned product line articles for consoles:
Wii; Will handle Wii and Wii U (once we have relevant incidents beyond just the storefront closures to document)
Nintendo 3DS; Will handle 3DS, 2DS, among other variants. Would instead function as Nintendo DS if it weren't for the fact that there are no relevant consumer rights incidents regarding the NDS, beyond the DSi store being shut down (which could just be purchased on the 3DS eShop and pushed to the DSi via SD, which is far more relevant)
PlayStation Portable; Will cover both the PSP and PSVita (If we find out about more incidents beyond storefront closures) JamesTDG (talk) 16:37, 10 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
