Eaton bricks chargers tied to partnership with Chargepoint

Eaton with partnership with Chargepoint has dropped all support of these chargers form their app Eaton EV Charger Manager as well as their newer app Brightlayer Home.^{[citation needed]}

Without these apps being able to communicate with the charger it is impossible to setup wifi which means you cannot use the charger with Open Charge Point Protocol(OCPP) as advertised.^{[citation needed]}

The Eaton EV Charger Manager software redirects you to Brightlayer Home which no longer supports the EVSE's. Both apps cannot be used without an internet connection or account.^{[citation needed]}
