Tim Hortons Inc., also known as Tim's, Timmies or Timmy's, is an Canadian coffee and restaurant chain that is an subsidiary to Restaurant Brand International.[1] The company operates worldwide with over 5,500 and contains a net income of $938 million as of 2023.

Tim Hortons Collected Geo-location Data Regardless if App wasn't Used

Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada conducted in investigation in June 2020, releasing it findings on Jun 1 , 2022 that showcased Tim Hortons mobile app collecting geo-location data from customers (even if it was turned off). This resulted in a lawsuit that required the company to delete location data and establish a privacy management program. [2] [3]
