oh I totally missed this.

personally I consider the move to be monopolistic. Nvidia already has a 90%+ market share in GPUs but then goes in and invests into their competitor Intel. moreso Nvidia and Intel are now competing in both the CPU and GPU market. which can/might create conflicts of interest and degrade customer choice. specifically my concern is the death of low end GPUs, which Intel atm occupies. regardless, I remember the time when Intel, when they were in the Nvidia position for CPUs, forced motherboard (iirc) manufacturers to only produce halo boards for Intel chipsets and not AMD. Nvidia could lockout AMD by only selling to laptops that specifically use Intel CPUs. Nvidia profits more from Intel profiting more but not from AMD. so there is incentive. hence customers that want Nvidia chips could be locked to a specific CPU vendor which may or may not be good or not what they want.

I checked out Monopoly which includes Microsoft as an example but I couldn't find any dedicated anti-compete articles. however we do have this. so I suppose that may justify the article as worth including?
