From Consumer Rights Wiki

Hello there!

I'm new to wiki in general so I will be editing stuff on my own page until I get the hang of it. I intend to actively edit articles and create pages as I get some understanding and experience. I have very basic HTML and CSS knowledge so I'm sure I'll get the hang of source editing once I learn the tags.

Absolutely hate what they're doing about our rights so I'll definitely do my part to speak up and help.

If you got any tips for a noob like me please let me know. In the meantime thanks for visiting and thank you Louis Rossmann and your group.

My Notes

[edit | edit source]

Requirements

  • Easily Verifiable: Proof it actually occurred
  • Verifiable Source: authoratative source
  • Systemic Issue: Not just your opinion
    • ✅Good example: My MacBook has code from the manufacturers that kills it a day after the warranty expires by displaying a particular image and there's source code for this.
    • ❌Bad example: I tried drinking natural Texas spring water and it didn't taste goo and they were mean to me on the phone when I called in.
    • ❌Bad example 2: Company advertised hi-fi audio but when I hooked it up it doesn't have as much bass as my other item.
      • Neither of those have anything to do with a concept of erosion of ownership

    • Product: Specific article about a specific product
    • Theme: Specific type of way companies screw you over
    • Incident: Specific type of thing that has occurred
  1. Step 4: Give it an accurate, short, but descriptive title (🔨)
  2. Step 5: Make a 2 or 3 sentence (~140 characters) summary
  3. Step 6: Fill out or delete templates as necessary.
    • Background: give a short overview of what's going on
    • Incident: What actually occured. Impartial and complete description of the event and the action taken by the company
  1. Step 7: Add sources (from multiple sources)
  2. Step 8: Add `
