About the CRWCitationBot

It's a minor thing, but something that could be irritating to future editors is that the bot is adding a duplicate |url-status field to the citations it's modifying. Just something to keep in mind. — Sojourna (talk) 05:23, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

Will check it out. I’m currently working on improving it and some pages vary from others really much. I plan to make sure all data is filled, than all data is same, and then fit it to needs of everyone. Will take few days to make it run properly, right now it was article by article with lots of manual checks. Changing Flock Safety archive links

Flock Safety is specifically excluded from the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine, as I noted on its talk page back in January. Your bot will have to use a different archival service for that page. — Sojourna (talk) 05:24, 23 February 2026 (UTC)

Hey! Thanks for pointing this out. I know some services specifically block archiving thru robots.txt or proxy settings. I'll find out what to use later as currently we deprecated archive.today and still need good alternative for reddit and some sites that block archiving. There is a list of Sites excluded from the Internet Archive

You might want your bot to use a different archiving service for those sites, the list can be found here Andrew V (talk) 02:34, 3 April 2026 (UTC)
