Jagex Limited, a British video game developer and publisher known for its flagship titles RuneScape and Old School RuneScape offered subscribers grandfathered monthly pricing if a subscriber returns to a monthly subscription after going through a yearly subscription. On 10 March 2026, Jagex suddenly announced changes to its membership offerings[1]. These changes were announced with minimal advance notice and at the same time membership prices were increased, raising concerns about potential bait-and-switch tactics.
