Roblox began rolling out "Age Checks" on December 3rd, 2025 for users in Australia, New Zealand, and The Netherlands,[2] which later became global on January 7th, 2026.[3]

Roblox's response

Roblox's chief safety officer Matt Kaufman, as well as Roblox's CEO David Baszucki, have repeatedly defended the use of Age Verification,[4][5] despite community pushback.
