On 01/06/26, Start Romagna announced that they would be increasing the prices for their tickets and that they would increase the fines for travelling without one.

Background

Start Romagna is a Emilia-Romagna based transport company that offers the main bus service for Ravenna, Forli'-Cesena and Rimini.

Start Romagna price increase

On the 1st of June 2026, Start Romagna announced that they would be increasing the prices of their tickets, while also changing from a magnetic stripe validated ticket, to a QR code validated ticket. With it, they also announced that the old tickets would only be valid for the next two months and that the fine for travelling without a ticket would increase.

With it, they also announced that you could convert old tickets into new tickets for two years by paying the difference before being rendered completely void.
