Questionable relevancy
editI've read and re-read the article, but I still can't wrap my mind around it.
- There's an independent Discord community based around this mobile game.
- One day the Korean game company added an icon to their game that linked to this popular(?) Discord channel.
- Suddenly the company can impose its Terms of Use on that Discord group despite not having control of it?
Am I understanding this correctly? And if so, how exactly is this relevant to consumer rights when this sounds like it'd be a legal matter to be dealt with by Discord's own ToU? — Sojourna (talk) 03:32, 25 August 2025 (UTC)
- You’re reading that correctly. This is an example that is as bad as “Mobile game becomes P2W”. This hasn’t got anything to do with consumer rights. AnotherConsumerRightsPerson (talk) 07:00, 3 September 2025 (UTC)
- I thought as much, but thought I'd get a second opinion. Flagging the article for deletion. — Sojourna (talk) 05:01, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
- I agree that the article's premise doesn't make much sense for the wiki, as this seems to be a non-issue and a hypothetical. Mr Pollo (talk) 01:11, 5 September 2025 (UTC)
