[edit source]I agree with Sony, this makes sense. In the digital age, it is not plausible to characterize piracy of a digital game as “stealing.” Were that the case, then Sony would not have been able to sell Resident Evil Requiem for $69.99 through the PlayStation Store on February 25, 2026, after it had purportedly been “stolen” on February 14, 2026, because the pirate, not Sony, would have possessed the property then. ~2026-1702 (talk) 08:31, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
