TreeSize is a disk management tool that helps users analyz/visualize their storage usage, identify large files, and clean up disk space efficiently.
Consumer impact summary
[edit | edit source]-Personal Perpetual License users can no longer renew yearly software maintenance for an added fee. All personal perpetual license holders are now only able to use the last available version.
-To use the latest version, one must change to subscription model.
-JamSoftware will not provide original installation file and license key for previously purchased perpetual licenses.
-License holders must maintain local backups of the installer and license key.

On 16 July 2026, Reddit user /u/Disastrous-Usual4484 posted on /r/pcmasterrace showing their perpetual TreeSize personal license has been discontinued.[1] TreeSize personal license will only be available as a subscription.
Although perpetual license holder may continue using the software, they are no longer able to purchase additional 12 months maintenance period for updates (unless they own a personal license)[2]
Furthermore, JamSoftware will not provide original installation file for their software, nor provide the license key for perpetual license holders. The burden has been shifted on the license holder to keep backups of the installer and license key.[3]
