Discussion of article type
[edit source]I guess the idea is that from a structural perspective that it would be a theme-like article, but dedicated to a single company, where that company has carried out a pattern of anti-consumer activity which merits discussion in its own right.
If we were to have articles like this I imagine there would only be a handful of them, since only the biggest companies have been in the shit enough to have an entire article written compiling a theme of their activities.
A couple of alternatives I could see to this idea (just to get them in the discussion and see what makes the most sense):
- restructuring company pages for very big companies like Sony and making them have more sections, instead of just having a big 'incidents' section, have a number of sections talking about different types or themes of incidents
- having list articles dedicated to the same idea. Would be structured quite similarly to this, but with a big tabled list instead of the 'incidents' section, and names something like 'list of Sony's anti-ownership practices'.
What are your thoughts for tone here? More theme-like or more company/incident-article like? Keith (talk) 09:52, 17 September 2026 (UTC)
- I'm thinking of having it more focused on a theme-like structure, since the idea is a derivative of the theme article type. I especially am thinking of it leaning towards the theme tone because as you've said, these articles would be a lot fewer and far between, so it really should be held up to the same standards as a theme article.
