Removal of Web portal "meincongstar" (2025)
[edit | edit source]
In summer of 2025, Congstar removed support for their web portal.[1] After concluding a contract with Congstar, new customers receive an e-mail with the text "Die App benötigst du zwingend, um deinen Anschluss nutzen zu können."[2] (Translation: You forcibly require the app to use your connection"). This app is available only from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.[3] This can be a problem for customers who primarily make changes through their computers, such as on Windows or Linux platforms.
